The misfortune of this "Fortune Dragon", that was the name of this boat, appeared in the form of a powdry fallout of the explosion and began to settle on it to announce to the world that the thermonuclear bomb constituted a serious radiological hazard for every one who lived on earth. And that it could not be kept secret. The frightened crew of the boat rushed towards Japan, and sailing a distance of 2000 miles in about 13 days reached the port, all sick with radiation. There the Radio-operator died after a few months, but the rest were saved eventually. It was however, proved beyond any doubt that no one should deem himself safe from other radiological hazards of nuclear energy all over the globe.

(207)ISLAMIC BOMB AND MIDDLE EAST

 

The book “Pakistan’s Islamic Bomb” written by Steve Weissman and Herbert Krosney two Western authors, is a nucleo-political study of the Middle East region, and is published by “Times Book” of New York. The authors write, “It is due to our anxiety for the sensitive Middle East anxiety emanating from the growing interest of the countries of the region in the preparation of Nuclear Arms, which means a threat to the world peace, that we have written this book”. Four countries, namely, Pakistan, Iraq, Israel, and India have in the main been subjected to the study in the book. Pakistan and Iraq according to the authors are countries of unstable societies. While Israel and India are democratic countries internally stable. The leaders of all other countries have their reasons and compulsions.

The scientist is an honest fellow. Honest and sincere.
