FOR WARD

Every age has its own peculiarities, and every occasion has its particular demands. Naturally therefore, this our own age has its own peculiar problems and its own particular demand. The world today stands on the brink both of moral and religious breakdown as well as near atomic ruin. Despite the attempts for the revival of religion there may quite clearly be seen the hold of worldly, irreligious powers over the mind of mankind. Nor in any way the role of these powers in brining about the atomic annihilation of this world could be missed.

Whatever might have been the mutual attitude of the followers of Christianity and Islam about the scriptures of each other in the past, the present circumstances in face of the atomic threat, and universal destruction warrant an attitude of mutual respect and cooperation. Such an attitude is exactly in accord with the teachings of these two books in question that is the Quran and the Gospel of Christ, and is the necessity of times. A united endeavour of the followers of these two books may prove far more efficacious in saving this world from the dreadful end in the flames of atomic hell, also in reviving the spirit of faith in a fast degenerating world, a world in which nations will be faced to herd themselves together against the all-devouring threat of atomic bombs and atomic radiations.

As far as the identity between the views of the Quran and the Gospel is concerned, the quotations from these books may in this book be read, but as regards the state of Christian religion in its later history, my writings in this book are the mere echo of the Christian writers themselves. Research and application, however is my own. And though this book could not have been regarded as an exhaustive study of the subject yet it has enough to present the point in a reasonable manner.

THEOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENT OF ISLAM

(1) Abraham (the Patriarch of Islam):

Abraham gave the name of Al-Islam. Through Moses and Jesus Islam was completed and perfected in Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Them all).

"And (remember), when His Lord tried Abraham with His commands, and he fulfilled them, He said: Lo! I have appointed thee a leader for mankind". (Quran 2 x 124).

"And I will make thee (O Abraham) exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee". (Bible- Genesis XVII-6)

"And as for Ismael, I have heard thee (O Abraham): Behold! I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly: twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation". (Bible-Genesis XVII-20)

(2)        Abraham to Mohammad -A line. "And when Abraham and Ismael, were raising the foundations of the house (of God in Mecca), (Abraham prayed), Our Lord accept from us (this duty). Lo! Thou, only thou art the hearer, the knower, our Lord! And make us submissive unto thee and of our seed a nation submissive unto thee, and show us our ways of worship, and relent toward us. Lo! Thou, only thou art the relenting, the merciful. Our Lord and raise up in their midst a messenger from among them who shall recite unto them thy revelations, and shall instruct them in the scripture and in wisdom, and shall purify them. Lo! Thou, only thou art the mighty, the wise". (Quran 2 x127-129)

"When his Lord said unto him (Abraham) surrender! He said: I have surrendered to the Lord of the worlds. The same did Abraham enjoin upon his sons, and also Jacob, (saying) O MY sons! Lo! Allah hath chosen for you the (true) religion; therefore die not save as men who have surrendered (unto Him)". (Quran 2 x 131-132).

“Lo! Abraham was a nation obedient to Allah, by nature upright, and he was not of the idolators; thankful for his bounties: He chose him unto a straight path. And we gave him good in the world, and in the hereafter he is among the righteous. And afterwards we inspired thee (O Mohammad), (saying) : Follow the religion of Abraham as one by nature upright. He was not of the idolators". (Quran -XVI-120123).

(3)        Torah, Gospel and Quran in Succession :

"Lo! We did reveal Torah wherein is guidance and a light, by it did the Prophets who professed Islam judge the Jews; and the doctors and the teachers (judged), by that portion of the book of God, of which they were the keepers and the witnesses. Therefore (O, Jews) fear not men but fear me; and barter not away my signs for a mean price. And whoso will not judge by what God hath sent down-----such are the infidels. And therein have We enacted for them, life for life, and eye for eye, and nose for nose, and ear for ear, and tooth for tooth, and for wounds retaliation----whoso shall compromise it as alms shall have therein the expiation (of the sins); and whoso will not judge by what God hath sent down----- such are the transgressors. And in the footsteps of the prophets caused We Jesus, the son of Mary, to follow, confirming the law which was before him. And we gave him the Evangel with its guidance and light, conformatory of the preceding law; and guidance and warning to those who fear God. And that the people of the Evangel may judge according to what God hath sent down therein. And whoso will not judge by what God hath sent down---- such are the perverse. And to thee (O, Mohammad) we have sent down the book (of the Quran) with truth, conformatory of previous scriptures, and their safeguard, judge therefore between them by what God hath sent down, and follow not their desires by deserting the truth which hath come unto thee. To every one of you we have given a rule and a beaten track".          (Quran 5 x 44-48)

(4)        Islam Ultimately Perfected in the Quran

"This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed my favours unto you, and have chosen for you as religion Al-Islam". (Quran 5 x 3)

"The faith of your father Abraham. He hath named you Muslims of old time, and in this scripture (Quran, that the messenger (Muhammad) Peace Be Upon Him may be a witness against you, and that ye may be witness against mankind". (Quran 20 x 78)

"Say (O Muhammad) (Peace be Upon Him) We believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto us and that which was revealed unto Abraham and Ismael, and Issac and Jacob and the Tribes, and that which was vouchsafed unto Moses and Jesus and the prophets from their Lord, We make no distinction between any of them, and unto him we have surrendered. And whoso seeketh as religion other than Al-Islam (the surrender to Allah). It will not be accepted from him, and he will be a loser in the hereafter". (Quran 3 x 84-85)

“He (Allah) it is who hath sent His Messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth that He may cause it to prevail over all religion .And Allah sufficeth as a witness".(Quran 48 x 28)

"Lo! The religion of Allah (is) Al-Islam. Those who formerly received the scriptures differed only after knowledge came unto them, through transgression among themselves. Whoso disbelieveth the revelations of Allah (will find that) Lo! Allah is swift at reckoning". (Quran 3 x 19)

"He (God) hath ordained for that religion which He commanded unto Noah, and that which we inspire in thee (O, Mohammad), and that which we commanded unto Abraham and Moses and Jesus, saying establish the religion and be not divided therein". (Quran 42 x13)

"When Allah entered into the covenant with the Prophets, He said: This is the wisdom and the book which I give you. Hereafter shall a prophet come unto you to confirm the scripture already with you. Ye shall surely believe on him, and ye shall surely aid him. Are ye resolved? Said he, and do you accept the covenant of these terms. They said: We are resolved, be yet then witnesses, said He, and I will be a witness as well as you. And whoever turneth back after this, these are surely the perverse. Other religion than that of Allah desire they? To Him doth everything that is in the heavens and in the earth submit in willing or forced obedience, and to Him do they return". (Quran 3 x 81-83)

(5)        The prophecy of Torah about Muhammad (PBUH) Discussed

"My chastisement will fall on him, whom I will, and my mercy embraceth all things, and I write it down for those who shall fear me, and pay the alms, and believe in our signs, who shall follow the apostle, the unlettered prophet. Whom they shall find described with them in the Torah and the Gospel. What is right, will he enjoin them, and forbid them what is wrong, and will allow them healthful viands and forbid the impure, and will ease them of the burden, and of the yokes which were upon them; and those who shall believe in him, and help him, and follow the light which hath been sent down with him----these are they with whom it shall be well. Say to them: O Men, verily I am God's apostle to you all: Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and of the earth. There is no God but He. He maketh alive and killeth. Therefore believe on God and his apostle-----the unlettered prophet-----who believeth in God and His word. And follow Him, that ye may be guided aright". (Quran 7 x 156-158)

Following is the prophecy of Moses in Torah about Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), as is alluded to by the Quran in above-quoted passage thereof. Moses said to the Children of Israel:-

"The Lord thy God will raise up onto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; according to all that thou desirest of the Lord thy God in horeb, in the day of assembly, saying, let me not hear again the voice of the Lord my God, neither let me see this great fire any more that I die not. And the Lord said unto me, they have well (spoken that) which they have spoken. I will raise them a prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words, in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass (that) whosoever will not hearken unto my words, which he shall speak in my name, I will require (it) of him. But the prophet which shall presume to speak a word in my name which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of the other Gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, how shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken. When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing followeth not, nor come to pass, that (is) the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, (but) the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously. Thou shalt not be afraid of him". (The Bible- Deutronomy XVIII-15-22)

FOLLOWING IS THE CONFIRMATION OF THE CONDITIONS OF THE MOSAIC PROPHECY GIVEN BY THE QURAN ABOUT THE PROMISED PROPHET.

"Your comrade erreth not, nor is deceived; nor doth he speak of (his own) desire. It is not save an inspiration (of God) that is inspired in him, which one of the mighty powers hath taught him". (Quran 53 x 2-5)

And “Nay, I swear by all that ye see and all that ye see not, that it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger. It is not poet's speech----little is it that ye believe! Nor diviner's speech----------little is that ye remember.! It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. And if he had invented false saying concerning us, we assuredly had taken him by the right hand and then severed his life-artery. And not one of you could have held us off from him". (Quran 69 x 38-47)

And also that not one of the prophecies of the Quran has failed or proved false.

(6)The Prophecy of Jesus about Muhammad (PBUH) Discussed

Quran says, Jesus prophecised about Muhammad (PBUH) by name:-

“And (remember) when Jesus, son of Mary, said: "O children! (Of Israel), ! Lo! I am the messenger of Allah unto you, confirming that which was (revealed) before me in Torah, and bringing good tidings of a messenger who cometh after me, whose name is Ahmad (Muhammad).(PBUH)  (Quran 61 x 6)

The Prophecy of Jesus Christ about Muhammad, Peace Be Upon Them both, in the Gospel:

Jesus Christ in his last days, and in realization of his approaching departure said to his disciples:-

"But I go my way to Him that sent me, and none of you asketh me, wither goest thou, but because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. Nevertheless I tell you the truth, it is expedient for you that I go away: For if I go not away the "Comforter" will not come unto you, but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment, of sin, because they believed not on me; of righteousness, because I go to my father, and ye see me no more; of judgement, because the prince of this world is judged.

I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit, when he, the spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth. For he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, (that) shall he speak: And he will show you things to come. He shall glorify me. For he shall receive of mine, and shall show (it) unto you. All things that the father hath are mine; therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall show it unto you. A little while and ye shall not see me: And again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the father". (Gospel-ST John XVI-5-16)

Discussing this marvelous prophecy of Jesus Christ (Peace Be Upon Him), we read:-

(1).       The word Comforter. For "if I go not away the "Comforter" will not come unto you".

In the present English version of the Gospel appears the word Comforter. Previously in Greek translation of the Gospel, the Paracletos was there, which means advocate. Identical in sound with Paracletos stands the word Periclytos, which means exactly as the word "Ahmad" or "Muhammad" (PBUH) means, namely : The Praised one: glorified one. And this proves the statement of the Quran that Jesus prophecised about the Prophet of Islam by name that is Ahmad (Quran 61x6). The promised "Comforter" was believed by many Christian communities of the East to be a Prophet yet to come, and most of them accepted Muhammad (PBUH) as that Prophet. Nor the prophecy of Moses about the Arabian Prophet could be missed. Islam, however, today stands as a perfect, experienced truth and the most needed religion for this distressed mankind to offer the remedy for all the present day ills and to guide this mankind away from these atomic threats unto the path of real peace and real prosperity as against this illusive peace and illusive prosperity of Baconian culture.

(2). “I have yet many things to say unto you" Says Jesus,” but ye cannot bear them now". It means that the truth which Jesus had given was as yet to be developed and perfected.

(3). Says Jesus "Howbeit, when he the spirit of truth, is come. He will guide you into all truth". The Quran says:-

“And Lo! it is a revelation of the Lord of the worlds, which the true spirit hath brought down upon thy heart, that thou mayest be (one) of the warners, in plain Arabic speech. And lo! It is in the scriptures of the men of old". (Quran 26 x 192-196)

The prophet (peace be upon him) himself was named as the truthful and the Honest, even before his assumption of his prophetic office. Says Jesus" When he the spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth". Allah in the Quran says "Verily we have displayed for mankind in the Quran all manner of similitudes".  (Quran 18 x54)

Almighty Allah has explained in various ways all things to men in Quran; but of all things man is most contentious.

(4).       Says Jesus “For He shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall bear, that he shall speak". The Quran says" Nor doth he speak of his own desire. It is not save an inspiration (of God) that is inspired in him, which one of mighty power hath taught him". (Quran 53 x 2-5)

And indeed the angel brought the message of the Quran to Mohammad, (Peace Be Upon Him) from Allah and spoke, and the prophet heard. The Quran says: "It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. If he had invented false sayings concerning us, we assuredly had taken him by the right hand and then severed his life-artery". (Quran-69 x 46)

(5).       Says Jesus "And he will show you things to come".Quran indeed is replete with prophecies and predictions. Some of which have seen their fulfillment, while some still await their fulfillment. Also, the Quran tells not only of the things of the future in this world, but has drawn a complete picture of the next life in heaven, not to be found either in the old or the new testament of the Bible.

(6).       Jesus says:- “He shall glorify me" The Quran says about Jesus:- "Allah's word which he conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from him". (Quran 4 x 171)

And  "Illustrious in the world and the hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah)". (Quran 3 x 45)

And “A revelation for mankind and a mercy from us". (Quran 19 x 21)

And “And his mother was a saintly woman". (Quran 5x75)

And “And Lo! We made the son of Mary and his mother a portent". (Quran 23 x 50)

(7).       Says Jesus" He shall glorify me, for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you".

There is enshrined a great fact in this which Jesus has said. "He shall glorify me, for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you". We will now exemplify this fact, the fact of the attestation of Gospel by the Quran and the development thereof. But before we do this let us see what new thought Jesus Gave to Mosaic religion.

JESUS GIVES NEW THOUGHT TO THE JEWS

Jews were not only by nature a people steeped in the world, but their religion too appearing at a particular stage of development, had not taught them of otherworldliness, or disinterestedness, or resurrection. They were only taught how to live in this world in accordance with the commandments of their God, the Lord God of Israel. The idea of resurrection was taken by the Jews later from Eastern Religions. Christ appeared with his teachings of otherworldliness, disinterestedness and resurrection. His message was:-

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also". (Gospel-X ST Mathew VI -19- 21)

AND

"Therefore take no thought, saying, what shall we eat, or, what shall we drink? Or, wherewithal shall we be clothed? ---- But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow. For the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof". (Gospel- ST Mathew VI -31-34)

Now this was a strange teaching for the Jews. It neither was to their liking, nor was it comprehensible to them, for they had seen no such thing in their own Bible. Whatever, however, be the reaction of the Jews to such a message this was the evangelic introduction to the Old Testament. Six centuries before Jesus Christ when Isaiah was Prophesying among the Jews in Babylon, Bhudha in India was teaching exactly what Christ preached to the Jews six hundred years later regarding the otherworldliness.

The Jewish people at the time of Jesus lived only in the outward ritual and the ceremonial without the inward meanings whatsoever. Jesus desired to introduce heart besides the head. This also was something new and novel for the Jews. The vested interests were also an obstacle. Jesus, however, told them what he had to tell in this respect. And his view of the Law may be cited as an example. He said:-

"Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart”.  (Gospel –ST Mathew V 27-28)

Lex Tailonis, that is the law of retaliation, life for life, tooth for tooth, was the basic rule of Jewish law, but Jesus preached:-

“Ye have heard that it hath been said, an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, that ye resist not evil: But whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also” (Gospel St Mathew-V 38-39)

GOSPEL ATTESTED, DEVELOPED AND GENERALIZED IN THE QURAN

We will revert to our topic. Jesus has said that" He shall glorify me, for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you".

We have seen the difficult nature of the teachings of Jesus in the above-quoted examples.

They appear even a generally impracticable except for the elite. But it is amazing to see that the Quran should treat all the teachings of Jesus in a generalized, systematized and categorized form, presented in various standards according to perfection. We shall clarify the point by examples. But before we do this, let this be understood that the assumption that Muhammad, (Peace be Upon Him) had borrowed the principles of religion from here and there, is erroneous and based on ignorance about the actual reality. Islam is in itself an entity, revealed by Allah himself in stages, and no one has borrowed any thing from anyone. Islam as a process, began with the first of the prophets of Allah, and developing gradually from stage to stage culminated in the form which Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) presented to the world. Allah has asserted this fact in the Quran as follows:-

"Lo! We have inspired thee (O Muhammad) as we inspired Noah and the prophets after him, as we inspired Abraham and Ismael and Isaac and Jacob and the tribes, and Jesus and Job, and Jonah and Aaron and Solomon, and as We imparted unto David the Psalms; and Messengers we have mentioned unto thee before and messengers we have not mentioned unto thee, and Allah speak directly unto Moses; messengers of good cheer and of warning, in order that mankind might have no argument against Allah after the messengers. Allah was ever mighty, wise". (Quran-4 x163-165)

And the Quran has enjoined on the Muslim to abide by the Islam in its completeness. Patchwork is not allowed. The Quran says:-

"O ye who believe! enter into complete submission, and do not follow the foot-steps of the devil, for his is your own enemy. But if you slip after clear arguments have come to you, then know that God is mighty, wise". (Quran 2 x 208-209)

And now in the following, we will give the examples of the identity existing between the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Quran which has confirmed the truth of Jesus and Moses and all the prophets of Allah:-

(a)            GOSPEL

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heavens, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal. For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also".

            (Gospel-ST Mathew VI-19-21)

Quran

"That which ye have, wasteth away, and that which Allah hath remaineth. And verily we shall pay those who are steadfast recompense in proportion to the best of what they used to do". (Quran 16 x 96)

AND

"We record that which they send before (them), and their foot prints. And all things we have kept in a clear register". (Quran36x12)

AND

"And coin for them the similitude of the life of the world as water which we send down from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingleth with it and then becometh dry things that the winds scatter". (Quran -18 x 46)

(b)        GOSPEL

“But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness: and all these things shall be added unto you".  (Gospel-ST Mathew-VI-33)

Quran:-

“Race therefore one with another for forgiveness from your Lord, and a paradise whereof the breadeth is as the breadth of the heavens and the earth, which is in store for those who believe in Allah and his messengers. Such is the bounty of Allah, which He bestoweth upon whom He will, and Allah is of infinite bounty". (Quran-57 x 21)

(c)            GOSPEL

“Therefore I say unto you, take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what shall ye put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? ......for your heavenly father knoweth that ye have need of all these  things". (Gospel-ST Mathew VI-25-32)

QURAN:

"There is not a beast in the earth but the sustenance thereof dependeth on Allah. He knoweth its habitation and its repository, all is in a clear record". (Quran- 11 x 6)

(d) GOSPEL

“Behold the fowls of the air: For they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?". (Gospel-ST Mathew VI-26)

QURAN

"And how many an animal there is that beareth not its own provision! Allah provideth for it and for you. He is the hearer, the knower". (Quran-29 x 60)

(e) GOSPEL

“(Jesus said unto him), if thou wilt be perfect, go (and) sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: And come and follow me". (Gospel-ST Mathew XIX -21)

QURAN

“Lo! Allah hath bought from the believers their lives and their wealth because the garden will be theirs (in heaven) : They shall fight in the way of Allah and shall slay and be slain. It is a promise which is binding on him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Quran. Who fulfileth his covenant better than Allah? rejoice therefore in your bargain that ye have made, for that is the supreme triumph". (Quran-9 x 111)

QURAN

“They ask thee what they ought to spend. Say: That which is superfluous. Thus Allah maketh plain to you (his) revelations that haply ye may reflect upon the world and the hereafter". (Quran-2 x 219-220)

That is, the thought of hereafter will be a consideration while you are fixing the proportion between your own share and that of Allah to be spent in his name.

(f)            GOSPEL

“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, verily I say unto you, that a rich man shall hardly enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. And again I say unto you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God, when the disciples heard (it), they were exceedingly amazed, saying, who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld (them), and said unto them, with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible".  (Gospel-ST Mathew XIX 23-26)

Quran "Lo! They who deny our revelation and scorn them, for them the gates of heaven will not be opened nor will they enter the garden until the camel goeth through the needle's eye. Their's will be a bed of hell and over them coverings (of hell). Thus do were quite wrong-doers". (Quran-7 x 40-41)

Mark the difference that which Jesus said of the rich, the Quran says of those who deny the revelations of Allah.

You have read about the amazement of the disciples of Jesus. It is interesting to observe that a similar occasion appeared during the revelation of the Quran. The disciples of Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), were deeply concerned when they heard the revelation:-

“Whether ye make known what is in your minds, or hide it, Allah will bring you to account for it". (Quran-2 x 284)

When this sign of the Quran was revealed, the companions (disciples) of the Prophet were greatly worried to hear it, for the condition was too difficult. And they were grievously troubled in their heart just as the disciples of Jesus were exceedingly amazed when they had heard that it was almost impossible for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The Quran upon their perplexing, first enjoined them to say, “We hear and we obey, and then pacified them by telling them", that Allah tasketh not a soul beyond its scope".(Quran 2 x 285)

(g) GOSPEL

"Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am come not to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one title shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of the least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the Kingdom of heaven, But whosoever shall do and teach (them), the same shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven". (Gospel ST Mathew -V-17-19)

QURAN

"There are the limits (imposed) by Allah. Transgress them not. For whoso trasngreth Allah's limits. Such are wrong-doers". (Quran- 2 x 229)

AND

"The noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct". (Quran-49 x 13)

(h) GOSPEL

"Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, thou shalt not commit adultery But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart". (Gospel ST Mathew V-27-28)

QURAN

"Tell the believing men to lower their gaze and be modest. That is purer for them. Lo! Allah is aware of what they do. And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest". (Quran-24 x 30-31)

AND

(Gospel-ST Mathew XVIII-7-8)

QURAN

"The only reward of those who make war upon Allah and His messenger and strive after corruption in the land will be that they will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet cut off on alternate sides, or will be expelled out of the land. (James IV-13-15)

QURAN "Say not of any thing Lo! I shall do that tomorrow, except if Allah will, and remember thy Lord when thou forgetest, and say: It may be that my Lord guideth me unto a nearer way of truth than this ". (Quran 18 x 23)

So far as the Torah of Moses is concerned, God in the Quran has retained a part, and has left another, and yet another part has been adopted in a modified form, as God himself thought fit. Judging from the state of Mosaic religion and the Christian religion separately, and their conflict mutually, the appearance of the Quran was a logical necessity to give the teachings in a reformed and settled state.

In these previous pages we have treated those of the doctrines of Jesus Christ which are generally regarded as extreme, even impracticable except for the few elite and eccentrics. And we have shown them in comparison to the views of the Quran. The Quran evidently has endorsed them all to the letter, to prove that the Quran is in no way behind Christianity or any other spiritual creed in spiritualism or otherworldliness. There remains no reason to retain the misunderstanding about Islam regarding its views of this world, and wealth, and this modern progress, this systematic, organized, ever-increasing science-guided, infinite and eternal progress of Baconian culture. Islam is a complete, and perfect, and the last of religions. It was completed and perfected in the time of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) himself. The views of Islam regarding this present day Baconian culture were as manifest in those days when the Quran was being revealed as they are today. The necessity and existence, the necessity and exigency originating from this Baconian culture, cannot figure as a plea for Ijtihad, in an endeavour to find justification of the features of this Baconian culture, for that means no more than a manifest deception, but what actually is needed is Jehad (and not Ijtihad) against this Baconian culture in an endeavour to revert to that Islam which was in the time of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) himself, for there is no midway house, if an escape from atomic hell is desired. Is not the Chapter of Al-Homaza that has existed in the Quran for the past fourteen centuries, enough to open the eyes of men. If not, then let the time decide the matter and show the truth to he doomed race of mankind in a practical form.

THE CORRECTIVENESS GIVEN BY THE QURAN TO CHRISTIAN RELIGION.

The Quran has given correctives to Christian religion, and has cleared up the huge mass of innovations of doctrinal nature, that was amassed gradually in course of time on the basic doctrines of Christian Gospel. Had the followers of Christian religion, hearkened to the warnings of the Quran and adopted the correctives provided by that book, there would have appeared no Baconian Philosophy, and consequently no atomic hell. The Christians, however, may, if they so desire, shift the blame onto the Muslims for the latters' having neglected the preaching of Islamic Doctrines on International Basis. To which the Muslims may reply if they so desire, that the Christian could not have heard then if they had so done. The punishment of atomic hell however is decreed for both the Christians as well as the Muslims, and they could dispute the matter in the atomic hell. This same question that of the Muslims' conduct as regards their responsibility for preaching Islamic Doctrines throughout the world, may be raised on the Day of Judgment as a result of the counter accusations of the Non-Muslim nations against the Muslims. In the following we will dwell on the correctives given by the Quran to Christianity:-

1.             DEIFICATION OF JESUS

Jesus was raised to the status of God and thus the priests became the deputies of God, and assumed unlimited powers and authority. And then abused their authority to an extent that it resulted in the disappearance of the Christian religion, and the appearance of Baconian Philosophy, and consequently the appearance of Atomic Hell of this world as well as of the next eternal world. The Quran said:-

"They surely disbelieve who say: Lo! God is messiah, son of Mary. Messiah (himself) said : O children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord". (Quran 2 x 72)

Christ has said:-

“My God is one God; there is no God but He". (Gospel ST John XX-17)

Quran has said:-

“Your God is one God; there is no God other than He, the compassionate, ever-merciful".  (Quran 2 x 163)

Gospel said:-

“The Lord our God is one Lord".(Gospel ST Mark XII-29)

Quran said:-

“Lo! Allah pardoneth not that partners should be ascribed unto Him. He pardoneth all save that to whom he will".

                                                (Quran 4 x 116)

Gospel has said:-

“Wherefore I say unto you, all manner of sin, and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: But the blasphemy (against) the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. And whosoever speaketh a word against the son of man, it shall be forgiven him: But whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the (world) to come".

                        (Gospel ST Mathew XII 31-32)

Quran has said:-

"When Allah saith : O Jesus son of Mary!  Didst thou say unto mankind, take me and my mother as two Gods besides Allah? He saith: Be glorified! It was not mine to utter that to which I had no right. If I used to say it, then thou knewst it. Thou knewst what is in my mind, and I know not what is in thy mind. Lo! Thou, only thou art the knower of things hidden. I spake unto them only that which thou commandest me, saying: Worship Allah, My lord and your Lord, I was a witness of them while I dwelt among them, and when thou tookest me thou wast the watcher over them. Thou art witness over all things. If thou punish them, Lo! They are thy slaves, and if thou forgive them (Lo! They are thy slaves). Lo! Thou only thou art the mighty, the wise. Allah saith this is a day in which their truthfulness profiteth the truthful, for their's are gardens under which rivers flow, wherein they are secure for ever, Allah taking pleasure in them and they in Him. That is the great triumph".(Quran 5 x 116-119)

Christ in Gospel said the same as follows:-

“I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world. Thine they were, and thou gavest them me, and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that, all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received (them), and have known surely that I come out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine, and thine are mine, and I am glorified in them. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we (are). While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: Those that thou gavest me I have kept and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled. And come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves".

            (Gospel-ST Mathew XVII-5-13)

The Quran said:-

“Say:  (O Muslims) : We believe in Allah and that which is revealed unto us, and that which was revealed unto Abraham, and Ismael and Isaac, and Jacob, and the tribes, and that which Moses and Jesus received and that which the prophets received from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and unto Him we have surrendered". (Quran 2x 136)

Christ said:-

“Have ye not read that which was spoken unto you by God saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?".  (Gospel-ST Mathew XXII-31-32)

The Quran said:-

“The messiah will never scorn to be a slave unto Allah, nor will the favoured angels".        (Quran-4 x 172)

AND

" It is not (possible) for any human being unto whom Allah had given scripture and wisdom and the prophethood that he should afterwards have said unto mankind: Be slaves of me instead of Allah, but (what he said was) : Be ye faithful servants of the Lord".  (Quran- 3 x 79).

(2).          JESUS NOT THE SON OF GOD

It is a great blasphemy to call anyone the son of God. Firstly it destroys the whole basis of the religion of God, one God. Secondly it excludes the possibility of a belief in any other Prophet after the son of God. And thirdly there is the possibility of the followers of the son of God to become careless and negligent, of religion, even proud, due to so close a relation of their prophet with God. Fourthly it confers great powers on the priest and a high status, with dire consequences. This doctrine that of the son of God, too has considerable share in creating circumstances favourable to the appearance of Baconian Culture, and the Atomic Hell. The phrase, son of God which was used by Jesus for himself as well as for others meant no more than a life devoted to the service of God. But later on it became to be applied literally and became an obstacle in the way of the guidance which God wanted to give to mankind after Jesus. The Quran says:-

"They ascribe as partners unto Him (God) the Jinn, although He did create them, and impute falsely, without knowledge, sons and daughters unto Him. Glorified be He and high exalted above (all) that they ascribe (unto Him). The originator of the heavens and the earth: How he can have a child, when there is for Him no consort, when He created all things and is aware of all things. Such is Allah, your Lord. There is no God save Him, the Creator of all things, so worship him. And he taketh care of all things. Vision comprehendeth Him not, but He comprehendeth (all) vision. He is subtle, the aware".(Quran 6 x 101-104)

AND

"The Jews say:  Ezra is the son of God; and the Christian say : The Messiah is the son of God. That is their saying with their mouths. They imitate the saying of those who disbelieved of old. Allah (himself) fighteth against them. How perverse are they? They have taken as Lords besides Allah their rabbis and their monks and the Messiah son of Mary, and they were bidden to worship only one God. There is no God save Him. Be He glorified from all that they ascribe as partners (unto Him)".

                                                (Quran- 9 x 30-31)

AND

"Who can do aught against Allah, if He had willed to destroy the Messiah son of Mary, and his mother and everyone on earth. Allah's is the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them. He createth what He will. And Allah is able to do all things".          (Quran 5 x 17-18)

AND

"Lo! The likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, then He said unto him: Be! And he is. (This is) the truth of thy Lord, so be not thou of those who waver".  (Quran 3 x 59-60)

AND

"Say : O people of the scripture! come to a just judgment between us and you: that we shall worship none but Allah, and that we shall take others for Lords beside Allah. And if they turn away, then say: Bear witness that we are they who have surrendered (unto him)". (Quran-3 x 64)

AND

"And whoso disputeth thee concerning him (Jesus) after the knowledge which hath come unto thee, say (unto him): Come! We will summon our sons and your sons, and our women and your women, and ourselves and yourselves, then we will pray humbly (to our Lord) and (solemnly) invoke the curse of Allah upon those who lie. Lo! This verily is the true narrative. There is no God save Allah, and Lo! Allah is the mighty, the wise. And if they turn away, then Lo! Allah is aware of (who are) the corrupters". (Quran-3 x 61-63)

We find in the Bible the term "The Son of God". But it actually meant no more than a person whose life was devoted to the cause of God. But unfortunately in later times the people began to take the meanings of this term literally, that amounted to dire blasphemy against God. The actual purport of this term may clearly be understood from the following statement of Jesus Christ. According to which not only to Jesus himself, but to the entire community of men God was as father. Jesus said:-

“I ascend unto my father and your father, and to my God and your God". (Gospel ST John XX 17)

(3).          THE TRINITY

The doctrine of trinity of Christian religion was given to mean something of a union of three person (Father, son and Holy Spirit) in one Godhead. This was a doctrine so exceedingly subtle that even its founders themselves were at a loss to comprehend or describe it satisfactorily. It is generally believed that word triad or trinity was first introduced into Christian Theology by Theophibus, Bishop of Antioch after the Middle of Second Century of the Christian era. The idea of trinity in the beginning sprang up from logos. The Logos had been described in Platonic Philosophy to possess unique divine attributes.

The Christian revelation which was consummated under the Reign of Nerva, disclosed to the world the amazing secret that the Logos, who was with God from the beginning and was God, who had made all things, and for whom all things had been made, was incarnate in the person of Jesus of nazareth, who had been born of a virgin, and suffered death on the cross. This very blasphemous doctrine did not go unchallenged. It proved to be a signal for a great controversy which raged for a considerable time in the Christendom, till eventually the doctrine was established as an article of Christian faith, though it was never understood or expressed in a convincing manner.

"The most sagacious of the Christian Theologians, the great Athanasius himself, has candidly confessed, that whenever he forced his understanding to meditate on the divinity of Logos, his toilsome and unavailing efforts recoiled on themselves, that the more he thought, the less he comprehended; and the more he wrote, the less capable was he of expressing his thoughts".

(Decline and Fall of Roman Empire Vol-II. Page 384-385)

The Quran says:-

"O People of scripture, do not exaggerate in your religion nor utter aught concerning Allah, save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah, and His word which He conveyed unto Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in Allah and his messengers, and say not three----cease (It is) better for you----Allah is only one God. Far is it removed from His transcendent majesty that He should have a son. His is all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is sufficient as defender".  (Quran- 4 x 171)

AND

"They surely disbelieve who say: Allah is the third of three; when there is no God save the one God. If they desist not from so saying, a painful doom will fall on those of them who disbelieve. Will they not rather turn unto Allah and seek forgiveness of Him? For Allah is forgiving, merciful".(Quran-5 x 73-74)

The Quran has warned of a painful doom, and now a painful doom is about to fall on the Christian west, and along with the Christian west and entire world.

(4).          ATONEMENT OF SINS

The Christ died on the cross and the sins of his followers were expiated, was yet another doctrine which could be a great cause of men's neglect of good deeds in the hope of salvation on the dint of faith in a particular doctrine, no matter how superfluous and unreasonable that doctrine may be. Christ himself has contradicted the doctrine of atonement. Says He:-

"Not every one that faith unto me. Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that doeth the will of my father which is in the Heaven".   (Gospel ST Mathew VII-21)

The Quran has said:-

"No burdened soul shall bear the burden of another. And if the heavy laden soul cry out for its burden to be carried, yet shall not aught of it be carried, even by the near of kin. Thou shalt warn those only who fear their Lord in secret, and observe prayer. And whosoever shall keep himself pure, he purifieth himself for his own behoof: for unto God shall be the final gathering".

                                    (Quran 35 x 18)

AND

“Hath he not been told of what is in the pages of Moses? And of Abraham faithful to his pledge? That no burdened soul shall bear the burdens of another, and that nothing shall be reckoned to a man but that for which he hath made efforts: And that his efforts shall at last be seen (in their true light) : That then he shall be recommenced with a most exact recompense, and that unto thy Lord is the return of all things". (Quran 53 x 36-42)

AND

"Guard yourselves against a day when no soul will in aught avail another, nor will inter cession be accepted from it, nor will compensation be received from it, nor will they be helped".

                                                (Quran 2 x 48)

AND

"And they say:  None entereth paradise unless he be a Jew or a Christian. These are their own desires. Say: Bring your proof (of what ye state) if ye are truthful". (Quran 2 x 111)

(5).          KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge was proscribed by the Christian Church. But Quran allowed and the Prophet of Islam, (peace be upon him), insisted on the acquirement of knowledge with considerable emphasis. He, however, discriminated between the desirable and undesirable kinds of knowledge. This modern Baconian knowledge (Science) as it is in this Baconian set up, and is a mere means of the acquirement of wealth and worldly necessities, could hardly find its place in the list of the kinds of desirable knowledge. However, the ignorance of the Christian people played a prominent part in the acceptance of Bacon's philosophy for their not recognizing the true reality thereof. The Quran allows knowledge and says "Say, My Lord increase me in knowledge". (Quran 20 x 114)

AND

“The erudite among his bondsmen fear Allah alone".

                                                (Quran 35 x 28)

AND

"As for these similitudes, we coin them for mankind, but none will grasp their meaning save the learned".

                                                (Quran 29 x 43)

The Prophet of Islam, (Peace Be Upon Him) said:-

"The Acquirement of Knowledge is a duty on every Muslim, male and female, from cradle to grave".

Difference, however, has to be made between good and bad knowledge.

(6).          MONASTICISM

The greatest damage to Christian religion has been done by the system of Priesthood. Islam proscribed it. The Prophet of Islam (Peace Be Upon Him) curtly said:

"No Monasticism in Islam". And the Quran says:-

“We put in the hearts of those who followed him (Jesus) kindness and mercy: and as for monkery, they invented it----we did not prescribe it to them---only to seek God's pleasure, but they did not observe it with its due observance, so we gave their reward to those of them who believed, and most of them are transgressors".  (Quran 57 x 27)

(7).          MONARCHY

If on the one hand, the people of the Christian west were being pestered by the Hierarchical Priesthood, on the other hand, they were suffering persecution by the absolute sovereignty. Islam abolished the system of absolute sovereignty and dynestical monarchy and introduced the system of caliphate, to mean, that one of the people, the most pious among them, was to manage the affairs of the state by consultation. And he was to be elected. And he was to be the head of both the secular and the religious side. The experiment was a success. The Caliph lived the life of an ordinary commoner. But perhaps the standard kept by the first four Caliphs was too high. Thereafter caliphate was abrogated and the old system of absolute monarchy was restored. Whatever be the case, an example was set that was worth following to avoid unpleasant consequences. The Quran says about the Muslims:-

“Their affairs are guided by mutual counsel".

                                                (Quran 42 x 38)

(8).          ABIDANCE BY THE GOSPEL AND THE TORAH

The Quran advised them to observe the Torah and the Gospel:-

“Let the people of the Gospel judge by that which Allah hath revealed therein. Whoso judgeth not by that which Allah hath revealed, such are evil-livers".  (Quran 5 x 47)

AND

“If they had observed the torah and the Gospel and that which was revealed unto them from their Lord, they would surely have been nourished from above them and from beneath their feet. Among them there are people who are moderate, but may of them are of evil conduct".  (Quran 5 x 66)

They however, could not content themselves with the nourishment to be provided by their God, and they preferred the Baconian method of worldly, incessant, endeavour, and they achieved remarkable success, but the end proved to be tragic. They have prepared for themselves and for the rest of mankind, the atomic hell as the consequence of their material philosophy of Baconian Atomism.

(9).          RESTRAINT ON NECESSITIES OF LIFE RELEASED

Restraint on the necessities of life was a particular feature of Christian religion inspite of the luxurious lives of the prelates and bishops. This forced restraint had a considerable share in the transition of the west from Christian austerity to Baconian luxury. The people of the West, tired of the prolonged Christian fast, and yearning after the luxurious feast of nature, slipped into the Baconian world of material utility. Islam on the other hand, sensed this danger in the weakness of human nature and allowed the acquirement of the reasonable necessities of life. The Quran says:-

“Say: who hath forbidden the adornment of Allah which he hath brought forth for his bondsman, and the good things of his providing? Say: Such on the day of resurrection, will be only for those who believed during the life of the world. Thus do we detail our revelations for people who have knowledge. Say: My Lord only forbiddeth indecencies, such as of them as are apparent and such as are within, and sin and wrongful oppression, and that ye associate with Allah that for which no warrant hath been revealed, and that ye tell concerning Allah that which ye know not".  (Quran-7 x 32-33)

We have brought the main headings of the correctives offered by the Quran to the Christian community to an end. Had the Christian community paid heed to the advice of the Quran, and had they reformed their religion accordingly, they certainly would have escaped the atomic doom. And along with them this world would have escaped the horrible doom of atomic annihilation. But so complex had become their religious system and consequently their malady, that their religion had become almost proof to any reform whatsoever.

The doctrine of Christ's Godhead, and that of his being the son of God, had excluded any possibility of a prophet appearing after him, or of caring to listen to the teachings of any one who claimed a divine mission. The Christian priesthood was so frightened by and indeed so incensed against the religion of Islam due to the abolition of priesthood, monasticism and monkery, that in order to save their invested interests and personal empire, the Christian priesthood did whatever it was possible to portray and present Islam in such horrid forms as would frighten the Christian community. The world of the Priest was accepted as truth by the people due to general ignorance and superstition. Centuries passed like that, till at last the Christian priesthood appeared to the Christian people as something to get rid of at any cost.

The West then had wanted an outlet. Recourse to Islam was out of question. Persons were there who endeavored to reform Christian religion. Some of them had aimed at a return to the simplicity of Jesus in faith and life, and taught the imitation of Christ and a life of poverty and service. This was neither in the interest nor to the liking of the Christian Church. Many of these reformers were burned alive by the command of the Council of Constancy.

It was by a decree of the Council of Constancy in 1415, that the remains of wycliff an English reformer were ordered to be dug up and burned, an order which was carried out at the command of Pope Martin V by Bishop Fleeming in 1428. John Huss a learned Zech, a reformer of Christian religion was invited to the Council of Constancy under promise of a safe conduct from the Emperor, was seized, put on trial for heresy and burned alive in 1415. Waldo in the South of France taught a return to the simplicity of Jesus in faith and life. Innocent III preached a crusade against the waldeness, Waldo's followers, and permitted them to be suppressed with fire, sword, rap and the most abominable cruelties. When ST. Francis of Assisi (1181-1226) taught the imitation of Christ and a life of poverty and service, his followers, the Franciscans, were persecuted, scourged, imprisoned and dispersed. In 1318 four of them were burned alive at Marseilles. On the other hand the fiercely orthodox order of the Dominicans, founded by St. Dominic (1170-1221) was strongly supported by Innocent III, who with its assistance set up an organization, the inguisition, for the hunting of heresy, and the affliction of free thought.

The result was that the west went headlong into the Baconian culture, and consequently fell into atomic hell, and dragged behind it the entire world. Only if they had examined the case of Islam, they would have found the remedy for all their ills, and would have saved themselves from so severe a punishment as atomic hell, and had along with them saved this entire world from the nuclear calamity. The story of Christianity has been made indeed painful by the Christian Church. All that painful history of Christianity with all its harrowing tales of people and princely persecutions and oppression is before me. And indeed it makes me sad at heart. And painful no doubt is the doctrinal confusion of Christian religion. But what I say after I have made all the calculations is that the state of Christian community inspite of all their afflictions in the premodern era was preferable to this modern state of material bliss, for its end is not well and its afflictions are eternal, for they will accompany to the next world, while its bliss is transitory only and fleeting.

THE BIBLE'S AND QURAN'S RELATIVE FRAME OF REFERENCE

Hitherto we have discussed the basic theological relation existing between the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Quran. We will now typify by means of an example the relation in which the entire Bible in general (from Genesis to the Gospel) and the Quran stand relatively from the angle of gradual development.

THE LEVIATHAN OF THE BIBLE AND THE HOTAMA OF THE QURAN

The Bible stands in a peculiar, particular relation to the Quran, while the Quran stands in a peculiar, particular relation to the Bible. This fact may be observed from the point of view of theology, philosophy, and from the point of view of ethics and spiritualism. Both the books spring from the same source and may be seen to form a series in sequence. The Quran, however, being the subsequent and the last, has its form finished and complete. Here we intend to show in what relation the two books stand to each other in the field of science. We will here see in comparison the treatment of the phenomenon of atomism by the Quran, and the description of a certain natural phenomenon by the Bible. The Quran's description and characterization of the modern atomism and the atomic phenomenon may be seen to have been clearly and conspicuously scientific, so that the Quran has even named the atomic phenomenon exactly as atomic phenomenon, giving out exact characteristics of modern atomism and the atomic phenomenon, so that no scientist could have been more factual and more technical in the description. In the Bible I have found the characterization of some natural phenomenon by the name of Leviathan, described by God to Job as a specimen of the powerfulness and terribleness of God's natural phenomena. I will now quote the description of the Leviathan from the Bible. In it will be seen not only the two different standards that is of the Quran and the Bible in comparison but the description will be of real interest to the scientist due to such features of the Leviathan as could be seen in the bomb and other igneous devices of modern science in reference to the natural phenomena and man's control over the forces of nature. In the Bible in the 41st Chapter of Job : God says to Job:-

(1)        Canst thou draw out Leviathan with a hook? Or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?

(2)        Canst thou put a hook into his nose? Or bore his Jaw through with a thorn?

(3)        Will he make many supplications unto thee? Will he speak soft words unto thee?

(4)        Will he make a covenant with thee? Will thou take him for a servant for ever?

(5)        Wilt thou play with him as with a bird? Or wilt thou bind him for thy maidens?

(6)        Shall the companions make a banquet of him? Shall they part him among the merchants?

(7)        Canst thou fill his skin with barbed iron? Or his head with fish spear?

(8)        Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do not more.

(9)        Behold, the hope of him is in vain: Shall not one be cast down even at the sight of him.

(10)      None is so fierce that dare stir him up: Who then is able to stand before me?

(11)      Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him: whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.

(12)      I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion.

(13)      Who can discover the face of his garments? Or who can come to him with his double bridle?

(14)      Who can open the doors of his face? His teeth are terrible round about.

(15)      His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a closed seal.

(16)      One is so near to another that no air can come between them.

(17)      They are joined one to another; they stick together, that they cannot be sundered.

(18)      By his neesings a light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning.

(19)      Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out.

(20)      Out of his nostrils goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or cauldron.

(21)      His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth.

(22)      In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him.

(23)      The flames of his flesh are joined together: They are firm in themselves: they cannot be moved.

(24)      His heart is as firm as a stone; yea, as hard as a piece of the nether millstone.

(25)      When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid; by reason of breakings they purify themselves.

(26)      The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold: the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon.

(27)      He esteemth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood.

(28)      The arrow cannot make him flee; slingstones are turned with him into stubble.

(29)      Darts are counted as stubble: He laughteth at the shaking of a spear.

(30)      Sharpy stones are under him: He spreadeth sharp pointed things upon the mire.

(31)      He maketh the deep to boil like a pot: He maketh the sea like a pot of ointment.

(32)      He maketh a path to shine after him: One would think the deep to be hoary.

(33)      Upon the earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.

(34)      He belongeth all high things: He is a king over all the children of pride.  (The Bible: JOB 41)

We will now apply these explanations to modern machines, bombs, furnaces and atomic bombs, to see with appropriateness do they fit.

The formidableness and terribleness of the natural phenomena as well as of the modern devices of science in reference to the natural forces may be seen in the following:-

"Canst thou draw out Leviathan with a hook? Or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down".

AND

"Canst thou put a hook into his nose? Or bore his Jaw through with a thorn?".

AND

"Will he make many supplications unto thee? Will he speak soft words unto thee?".

Now these above-mentioned characterizations of Leviathan invariably show the formidablenes of the natural phenomena, and of the power-driven machines. Yet, no doubt, man in the modern age of science, has captivated some of the natural forces, such as steam, electricity, fire etc. But the case of the atomic energy has appeared to be different. It is offering a great resistance to man's control, and it appears hardly possible that man will ever be able to claim complete control on the atomic phenomenon. Yet inspite of this, if man will persist in his endeavours to take the service of atomic phenomenon, he will not be able to enjoy long the services, because the atomic Leviathan will eventually destroy him. The Bible has a challenge in this respect. It says:-"Lay thine hand upon him, remember the battle, do not more".

As regards the atomic power it might be quoted:-

"Behold the hope of him is in vain. Shall not one be cast down at the sight of him? None is so fierce that dare stir him up, who then is able to stand before me? Who hath prevented me, that I should repay him? Whatsoever is under the whole is mine. I will not conceal his parts, nor his power, nor his comely proportion. Who can discover the face of his garment? Or who can come to him with his double birdle? Who can open the door of his face? His teeth are terrible round about".

And indeed the atomic phenomenon and its atomic bomb and its atomic radiation are there as a retribution of certain evils which the Quran has enumerated in the clearest of terms in its warning about he atomic hell. But read the following Biblic hints which could be applied to the modern machines and the conventional bombs, and the furnaces and the atomic bombs etc. regarding the design and functioning:-

"Who can open the doors of his face? His teeth are terrible round about. His scales are his pride, shut up together as with a closed seal.  One is so near to another, that no air can come between them. They are joined one to another, they strick together, that they cannot be sundered. By his neesings light doth shine, and his eyes are like the eyelids of the morning, out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out. Out of his nostril goeth smoke, as out of a seething pot or cauldron. His breath kindleth coals, and a flame goeth out of his mouth".

And now imagine the first experiment of the atomic bomb standing around in anxiety about the working of the atomic bomb that they made the first time. Then by the detonation the atomic bomb explodes and the strong neck of the atomic bomb rises upward with terrible force in the form of a lofty column, and the experimenter's anxiety is turned into joy. Then read the Bible, it says:-

“In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him". And the other feature of the affair of the atomic explosion is as the Bible says:  "When he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid: by reason of breakings they purify themselves". And this fact may well be attested by those unfortunate Hiroshimites and Nagasakites among whom the atomic Leviathan had raised himself up. They also will confirm that" His heart is as firm as a stone: Yea, as hard as the piece of the nether millstone. The sword of him that layeth at him cannot hold" the spear, the dart, nor the habergeon. "He esteemeth iron as straw, and brass as rotten wood". The arrow cannot make him flee: Sling stones are turned with him into a stubble. Darts are counted as stubble: He laughteth at the shaking of a spear". The iron girdirs of the strong buildings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki could confirm the words of the Bible. "He esteemth iron as straw, and Brass as rotten wood". And indeed the experiments of the atomic bomb would attest the fact during their under-water burst as the Bible says" He maketh the deep to boil like a pot; he maketh the sea like a pot of ointment". And finally, any one who has seen a soaring rocket, or the supersonic air craft in flight, will recall to his mind the description: " He maketh a path to shine after him: One would think the deep to be hoary".

The Bible in this description of the Leviathan has provided an excellent specimen of its position in relation to the Quran as regards the root, reference, age, stage, manner and matter. The Quran as may be seen has advanced into the heart of the modern field and has fixed its camera there to take and describe the pictures in a very minute and exact manner adopting the method, manner, language, process and the system of this modern age of science. The Quran appears to be championing the cause of all the scriptures of God. It is the fruit, Gospel the flower, the prophecies of the Mosaic Prophets the branches, the Pentateuch the stem, and the scriptures of Abraham the roots, of the Abrahamic religion of God's unity. The fruit naturally has all of the tree to the root of the tree. And mark that whereas the Bible in its Leviathan has confined itself to a general description of the natural phenomena, the Quran has approached the farthest confines to describe the atomic phenomenon, and has given the perfect scientific description thereof. Read Chapter Homaza.

THE QURAN PHENOMENALLY CHARACTERIZES THE HOTAMA

A miracle in the field of atomic science and atomism, a miracle undeniable, and the only irrefutable proof of Quran's divine original, and the only guidance to escape the atomic doom, indeed, Noah's Ark in this fiery deluge of atomism, and a redeemer of mankind from this temporal atomic hell as well as its original prototype the eternal atomic hell (Hotama) of the next world  the causes of both these forms of atomic hell being identical ---- this 36 word prophecy of the Quran by the Grace of Merciful Allah is my own discovery with my three thousand page explanation of it. Read. The Quran says:-

"Woe to every backbiter, defamer, who amasseth wealth (of this world) and arrangeth it (against the future). He thinketh that his wealth will remain with him for ever. Nay, for, verily he will be cast into Al-Hotama. And what could teach thee what Al-Hotama is? It is fire of Allah enkindled which leapeth up onto the hearts. It is (a fire) closed in on them in outstretched columns".

                                    (Quran 104-Al-Homaza)

Observe now the description of this modern progress of Baconian atomism by the Quran:-

(1).          BACKBITER AND DEFAMER

Atomism both ancient and modern is a doctrinal slander against divine religion. The spirit of critical rationalism, the distinguishing philosophical standard of this modern Baconian age against every premodern age, being perverted to critical slander, and permeating through every phase of human affair, has rendered this age as the age of columny with its intellectualized slander named propaganda. This age itself is the age of slander. See, slander everywhere slander, every-way slander.

(2).       The Quran says "He amasseth wealth (of this world) and arrangeth it against the future". Observe this modern continuous, systematic, organized, ever-increasing, infinite and universal process of wealth-accumulation and increase, and its arrangement for future as distinct from the systems of every premodern age.

(3).       The Quran says" He thinketh that his wealth will for ever remain with him". Observe man's faith in the continued eternity of this modern progress.

(4).       The Quran says “Nay, for, verily he will be flung into Al-Hotama". And hell as the logical and scientific consequence of this Baconian progress has now appeared.

And now observe the distinguishing phenomena characteristics of atomic phenomenon against every other phenomenon, chemical, electrical, gravitational, in this passage of the Quran.

(i)         The Quran says "hotama". Hotama literally means a crusher, and so is the atomic phenomenon. It crushes basic atomic structure irreparably. It destroys atomic nucleus. In no other phenomenon atomic nucleus is so much as touched. The atomic energy is generated by merely breaking the binding of the atomic nucleus. No other kind of energy is generated in this manner. Atomic Radiations follow the suit. They cause nuclear transmutations of atoms in inanimate matter while in living bodies they break a cell nucleus chromosomes irreparably. This atomic phenomenon is an obsolete, universal crusher. Both the basic building block of the universe, that is atom, and the basic unit of life that is cell nucleus are absolutely irreparably crushed. All the three manifestations of atomic bomb that is heat-flash, blast, and radiations are crushers. Heat-flash crushes the hearts of exposed persons; the atomic blast crushes structures, while radiations crush atomic nuclei and cell nuclei.

The appreciation of the term "Bremstrahlung" by the German physicists as highly descriptive when first coined by the Germans, for "continuous spectrum of rays" implied the realization of the crushing trait of atomic phenomenon by the Physicists, for, the term literally meant "breaking radiation". To this may be added Rutherford's surprise recorded in his diary after his famous experiment of Bombarding the Gold foil with Alpha Particles." It was the most incredible event that ever happened to me in my life. It was as incredible as if you fired a 15 inch shell at a piece of tissue paper and it came back and hit you", Wrote Rutherford.

Observe the words like : "Bombarding, hitting, smashing, crushing, breaking" etc. in the standard text books of Atomic Physics, and mark the phrases like :  "Target Concept, Direct Action, Indirect Action, Snapping the Cable with a Bullet, Breaking the Chromosomes" and sentences like  "Radiations hit the cell like a sledge hammer and crush them", in the standard text books of Radio biology. And in the end, mark the phonetic as well as functional identity that exists between the "atoma" of the scientist and the "Hotama" of the Quran and wonder.

(ii)        The Quran says" Hotama is fire". And so also is the Atomic Phenomenon exclusively a phenomenon of energy, and energy is fire. Atomic bomb also is fire. So also are Radiations. Becquerel, the discoverer of Radioactivity was the first to experience a burn on his skin next to the pocket in which he had carried a phial of Radium. The term “Cross Fire" is used in Radiotherapy.

(iii)       The Quran says" Hotama is fire of Allah". The Atomic Hell has appeared as the result of the worldly ungodly philosophy of Baconian Atomism and its Baconian progress as retribution.

(iv)       The Quran says" Hotama is a fire which leaps up onto the hearts". Atomic Phenomenon actually is the nuclear phenomenon, for, the atomic nucleus is involved. This again is the distinguishing feature of the Atomic Phenomenon, for, no other Phenomenon is nuclear. In no other phenomenon Nucleus is ever touched. Quran's description of Atomic Fire that it is fire which leaps up on to the hearts or appears in the hearts is confirmed merely by uttering the word, "Nuclear" since the nucleus and heart are synonymous, and both the Orthodox Physicists and Standard Text Books of Atomic Physics frequently use the word Heart for Nucleus. Two examples only will suffice:-

            (a)        "Each fast particle comes from the breakup of the very Heart of a single atom --- The Nucleus --- of the Radioactive material". (Vide Physics-Physical Science Study Society Committee- IInd Edition --D.C. Heath and Company Lexinction Massachusetts. July 1965, page 130).

            (b)        " How many nuclear heart-beats are in the life-time of a Radioactive nucleus which lasts only billionth of a second".   (Ibid, page 21, Short Problems)

Teller in 1939 spoke of taking energy from the heart of atom. The atomic radiations follow the suit and have their actions in the nuclei of atoms and cells. The most spectacular spectacle of atomic fire's leaping up over the hearts may be viewed in thermonuclear device wherein the fire produced by the inner fission device is being directed onto the nuclei: that is the Hearts of the outer fusile material. The term thermonuclear is the scientific version of the statement of the Quran namely,  "A fire which leaps up onto the Hearts".

Radiations show a discernible preference for the Heart and all that is related to the Heart in a living body. They affect the coordination of the function at the level where it is beyond the control of the brain. The Bone-marrow and all the blood-forming organs are more sensitive to the effect of Radiation than the Brain, the nerves and the muscles. The blood relation of bone-marrow and blood-forming organs with heart is known. All the multi-cellular organisms are more sensitive to the effect of radiation than all the unicellular organisms. That the former have a more elaborate circulatory and respiratory system than the latter is well known. Known also is the blood relation of circulatory and respiratory system with heart. The action of radiation is retarded in the absence of Oxygen and the blood-relation of Oxygen with heart is known. Lastly the heat-flash of the atomic bomb explosion kills its victim through shock to the heart. And Wordsworth has an excellent little couplet to show the heart-atom relation. He laments:-

“To let a creed built in the heart of things

               Dissolve before a twinkling atomy".

                                                (Excursions)

(v)        The Quran says "Hotama is a fire closed in on them". The atomic phenomenon shows peculiar and distinctive characteristic of encompassing. The inverted cauldron-like form of the atomic bomb explosion, the continuous series of enclosures of local and global type of radioactive fallout, the relentless tenacity of the bone-seeking radio-active materials settled in the bones, the appearance of cancers six to thirty-years after the actual exposure to radiation, the appearance of the effects in Anaphase inspite of the attack of Radiation on the cell in the resting stage of the cell, the encompassment of the whole body by the radiation even if only one organ of the body is irradiated, the survival of the lethally irradiated frogs for many months instead of dying in the usual time interval that of three to six weeks if kept in a dormant state at a low temperature just above freezing point, and the appearance of Radiation symptoms as soon as these irradiated frogs are warmed up, and the occurrence of their death thereafter in the usual time interval that of three to six weeks. Alexander Haddow's suggestion that the cancer-producing action of the cancer-producing substances might be the result of prolonged interference with normal growth, the encompassment by radiation of mankind to generations, even to their extinction through long-term radio-genetic effects, and the encompassment of this earth by radiation in the age of full-fledged atomic energy for peace are some of the facts which indicate the distinct encompassing features of atomic phenomenon.

(vi)       The Quran says "In outstretched columns". Besides the symbolically distinctive feature of the outstretched column associated with the atomic bomb explosion, the atomic phenomenon has yet another side of this aspect, namely that the world of radio-activity may be regarded as a world of columns. The 4 cm rise of the Alpha particle would appear as a formidable column if the size of the particle is seen in comparison to the height it has assumed. A football rising in the same ratio to its size would disappear in the skies. The Cosmic Rays present a spectacle of amazing columns in showers, having heights that may cause man's imagination to reel.

(vii)      The description of Hotama (the atomic hell) by the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) of Islam:-

"Allah will send angels equipped with covers of fire, and nails of fire, and columns of fire. They will cover the doomed with covers of fire, and will transfix them with nails of fire, and then will stretch the columns of fire upward above them. The entire phenomenon will be made so air-tight that not a whiff of delight will enter from without, nor a trace of agony will escape from within. Allah will forget them on his throne, and will cut them off from his mercy. The inmates of paradise will begin to enjoy the boons of Allah. The inmates of Hell will cease to cry for help, and the speech will come to an end. Their speech will then be (as the sound of) inhaling and exhaling.

                        (Quoted from Al-Jallalain)

Now the atomic bomb explosion is a cover of fire, radiations are nails of fire. The outstretched columns of fire miles high are a spectacle of atomic bomb explosion. No better description of atomic hell could be expected.

(viii)      The Quran says "What could teach thee what Al-Hotama is?". This mode of interrogation implies terribleness of the Phenomenon according to the early commentators of the Quran. To this may be added the extreme complexity of the subject of atomic science. The same question today, namely, “What could teach thee what atomic science is"? could be put to the leading atomists, and their reply would invariably be, " Nothing", so meager is man's knowledge of atomic science and so complex is atomic science.

THE BIBLE AND THE QURAN ON THE BREAKER INTO PIECES

Scriptures in this modern age of Rationalism are generally regarded as merely the books of the religious guidance. The miraculous and the spiritual contained in the Bible has been regarded by the modern rational critics as merely unbelievable superstition. This is not exactly the case. An eye endowed with correct vision might see the things otherwise. The scientific description and the characterization of the Nuclear Phenomenon by the Quran fourteen hundred years ago has furnished this world with a miracle which could not possibly be denied by anyone. And here , I intend to give something from the Bible which though not as exactly, strictly and completely scientific as the characterization of the atomic phenomenon given by the Quran, yet it contains at least enough to dispel the view that all that is contained by the Bible in the form of miraculous, or purely spiritual is unbelievable and nonsensical. I will now give a characterization of the nuclear phenomenon as may be found in he Bible, which though giving only the main characteristic of the nuclear phenomenon, that of breaking to piece, and in no way to be regarded as a complete description, yet serves as an example to annul the view that the existence of miraculous is a natural impossibility. I will produce a vision of Daniel in which could be found the nuclear phenomenon described with scientific clarity, while the other three phenomenon, namely, the gravitational, the electrical and the minor nuclear may be seen described quasi allegorically.

While judging between the difference of the degree and style of description by the Quran and Daniel in the Bible the differences of their respective eras have to be kept in mind. If Einstein were alive today, I would have presented this particular excerpt from the Bible to him as a suggestive aid to his research on the unification of natural forces, believing that it would have proved suggestive, resourceful, thought-provoking and interesting to him in his particular theme that of the unification of natural forces, besides the clarification of the basic characteristic of nuclear phenomenon that of breaking into pieces. Einstein indeed had the realization of this last fact as is clear from his appeals to mankind, but unfortunately the realization had come to him only too late, after only the Hydrogen Bomb had appeared on the scene. Now read the following from the Bible:-

“In the first year of Belshazzer, King of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream, and told the sum of the matters. Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven storve upon the great sea. And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. The first one was like a lion, and had eagel's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up upon the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it. And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, arise, devour much flesh. After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast also had four heads; and dominion was given to it. After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it; and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it: and it had ten horns. I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great-things.

I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool; his throne was like the fiery flames, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him; thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgement was set and the books were opened. I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame.

As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time. I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

And there was given him dominion, and glory and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an ever-lasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me. I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things. These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth. But the saints of the most high shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom for ever and ever. Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, break in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet. And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell: even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.

I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; until the ancient of days came, and judgement was given to the saints of the most high; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. Thus he said, the fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall treat it down, and break it in pieces.

And of the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise; and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words against the most high, and shall wear out the saints of the most high, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgement shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the Kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the Kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most high, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him. Hitherto is the end of the matter. As for me Daniel, my cogitation much troubled me, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in my heart".  (The Bible -Daniel-VII-1-28)

In order to treat the subject we will follow the specific arrangement of the four natural forces to depict the four beasts of Daniel's vision:-

1).THE GRAVITATIONAL FORCE

"The first one was like a lion, and had eagle's wings. I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up upon the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it".

2).  THE ELECTRICAL FORCE

"And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it, and they said thus unto it, arise devour much flesh".

3). THE MINOR NUCLEAR FORCE

"After this I behold, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl, the beast also had four heads; and dominion was given to it".

4).  THE MAJOR NUCLEAR FORCE

The first three we will leave to the reader himself to discern therein the resemblance to the relevant natural force. But this fourth, that is the nuclear beast we will try to briefly explain. The whole topic is such as may be viewed in diverse ways. Daniel says " After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: It devoured and break in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it, and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it: and it had ten horns.

And now let us read the Quranic characterization of the nuclear fire. It says" And what could teach thee what Al-Hotama is? It is fire of Allah kindled, which leapeth up onto the hearts. It is (a fire) closed in on them in outstretched columns".

                                    (Quran 104-Al-Homaza)

The Quran has used the term Hotama. Hotama literally means a breaker, and more accurately means a crusher, a violent crusher. The original commentators of the Quran have described the Hotama, as inexpressibly dreadful, terrific, and an unusual devourer. Comparing the description given by the Bible and the Quran we can see: The Bible says, “It breaketh in pieces, and stampeth the residue with the feet of it". The Quran says; “It is Hotama that is a violent breaker and crusher, and grinder". The Bible says “It is dreadful, terrible, and strong exceedingly". The Quran according to the original commentators says, "It is inexpressibly terrible and dreadful, and strong exceedingly". The Bible says, “It is devourer". The Quran says “It is devourer". The Bible says, “It is diverse from all the beasts that were before it". The scientific characterization of the atomic phenomenon given by the Quran, and endorsed by nuclear science is such as characteristically distinguished the nuclear, that is the atomic phenomenon from the rest of the phenomena, namely, the gravitational, chemical, and the electrical. That the characteristics of the atomic phenomenon are basically distinct and diverse from the rest of the phenomena, is a point worth keen observation of the atomists. But the Quran has proceeded further to give all the distinctive characteristics of the atomic fire. To wit that it is fire of Allah enkindled, and that it is a fire which leaps up onto the hearts and that it is a fire closed in on them in outstretched columns. This seemingly simple description of the atomic fire is surprisingly the most complete and comprehension description of atomic fire, no better has anywhere appeared in the circles of modern science. Daniel regarding the fourth kingdom, that is the fourth beast has said, that it shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces".

Now no better description of the distinctly particular characteristics of this nuclear phenomenon, and of this modern Baconian age of scientific materialistic progress, as well as of this nuclear age as distinct from the pre-nuclear ages could be found than the one given above by Daniel.

This modern culture has devoured the whole earth, land, sea, jungles, animals, everything. The Nuclear Weapons also can devour the whole earth, and can tread it down, and can break it in pieces. All this is a description of Quranic Hotama which the worthy commentators of the Quran have most appreciately given in minute detail. This present day mankind, that now is turning mad through panic due to this destructive character of the nuclear kingdom, should have no difficulty in describing the truth of this Danielian statement given milleniums ago.

And in the end, let us pray that the prediction of Daniel regarding the fourth beast, the one which we have called as the nuclear beast comes true. Namely, that it is slain, its body is destroyed and is given to the burning flames as the golden calf of Israel was destroyed by Moses. The end of the three other beasts as is predicted by Daniel shows no less appropriateness. Who the ancient of the days, or the son of man is going to be, time only will tell. This vision of Daniel on the whole is worth the research of some competent intellect in the world and deserves to be discussed in minute detail. I wish I had leisure.
