ISLAM AND THE NEED OF GLOBAL MOBILIZATION FOR WORLD PEACE
Ushering In a New Era and a New Order

HUMANITY TODAY:
With such complete extinction, as it is faced with today, despite the real or imaginary progress that it has achieved or assumed to have achieved, through its chequered history. Civilization is confronted with total annihilation. The world faces real danger of being laid waste. Posterity may not be there to recount the acts of omission and commission of the present generation. Peace has never been so out of human reach as it is today.
An anguished cry, without any geographical, racial, linguistic, religious, political or ideological distinction, is heard from a tormented humanity, begging to be saved from utter ruination.
THE THREAT:
This threat to peace and man’s future emanates from a state of stark poverty, gross ignorance, widespread disease and rampant misery. On the other hand, uncountable wealth is seen to be amassed by a few. Simultaneously, man has created for himself the worst threat of all- the Thermo Nuclear Power, the power that can destroy humankind totally or be of tremendous benefit to it.
QUESTION OF LIFE AND DEATH:
Spelling out the most fundamental of human rights, Evgueni Chazov, Minister of Health of the U.S.S.R., says : ‘’ Every person on this planet, regardless of nationality, religion or political views, should possess the most fundamental right—the right to life and health”. Albert Einstein, emphasizing the threat to pace, wrote in connection with the development of atomic weapons: “We shall require a substantially new manner of thinking if mankind is to survive”. He further said: ‘’ It is now a question of life and death for mankind.”
The evolvement of a new way of thought, together with accompanying action, is what has to be aimed for now. Is there a realistic, practicable and positive way of dealing with this most urgent problem of all times, in human history? First, let us take a look at the root cause of the malaise. What has lead to the present state of affairs? Why this global unrest, ruination? Why this race for supremacy in the evolution, production and stock-piling of the most dreadful weapons of extinction? Why this slandering, fault-fining, jealousy, hatred and fear of each other? What is at the root of it all?
Greed: Greed for what? Wealth?! Power?!
Let us turn to the Rabbul alameen and see what the Creator, the Master and the Sustainer of all the Words, has decreed in this regard, and what He expects from His creation.
IN THE NAME OF GOD THE MOST GRACIOUS THE MOST MERCUFUL
1) Woe unto every slanderer, fault-finder.
2) Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it as a safeguard,
3) Thinking that his wealth will make him live for-ever.
4) By no means, He shall indeed be abandoned to Hotama, crushing torment( or that which breaks to pieces)
5) And what will explain to thee what that Hotama, crushing torment, will be? ( or that which breaks to pieces)
6) A fire kindled by God,
7) Which will rise over the hearts
8) It shall be made into a vault over them
9) In columns outstretched (Holy Quran---Sura 104)
صدق اللہ العظیم truth , is what Allah, the Most Great, Speaks.
GRAPHIC DESCRIPTION:
The Revealed Word of God gives a graphic description of a chastisement, and its cause, which is to be meted out to those who indulge in acts inhuman, ungodly, unethical and unbecoming of the highest position that has been accorded to insane (human being), by his Creator and Master. Ironically, man is bringing this chastisement upon himself, in the form of the most destructive of all forces so far --- the thermo nuclear force---produced by man himself, which is polluting the atmosphere, putting his environment in peril, destroying his abode and, ultimately, will put an end to his existence.
When man ignores his REAL MASTER and his COMMANDS, he forgets the real purpose of his creation, and the main objective in his life becomes the acquisition of material wealth. He plunges headlong into the race for producing, amassing and counting his wealth, thinking that his wealth will make him live for-ever.
Drunk and driven by his amassed wealth, man starts exploiting, persecuting, slandering and finding fault with fellow-beings and, finally, taking up arms against them. Blinded by his wealth, and the luxury that it provides him, he has started threatening humanity, with a Fire a Crushing Torment, a Vehement Hell that breaks in pieces everything that comes in contact with it; a chastisement that awaits the unrepentant, is being hurriedly readied and ripened by man himself, for his own self!
THE ALTERNATIVE:
Should man and his abode, and the peace of the universe, be left to the mercy and whim of another man, who is engrossed in the amassing of wealth and is trying to safeguard it with the demonic power of the most destructive force, in the hope that his wealth and power will make him live forever?
Is there an alternative to this madness and insanity of man? Is there a way of controlling the greed of man and the exploitation of man by man?
If the masters and wizards of the science and knowledge of economics and econometrics, wealth hand money, profit and loss, banking and insurance, labor and gain, political and social sciences and champions of the “ progress” and” prosperity” of humankind, were all to assemble together, what would they offer to the present ailing economics, tormented humanity and threatened world peace? Would there-offer be as fear, just , equitable, morally right and deserving of human dignity as that of the Most Just, the Most Merciful and the Most Gracious of all to humankind ; the Sustainer, of all the Worlds ?
RUBUBIYYAT:
Rabbul Alameen has, mercifully and graciously, undertaken to fulfill not only the basic needs but, indeed, all the needs of His creation, makhluqat, in the most equitable and fair manner, i.e. RUBBUBIYYAT- Divine Providence Unlimited! Rububiyyat as an economic system was provided to humanity on the day the first insane) human being) and his needs were created. Man had to toil and Rabb (God) had to provide and sustain. When man tried to change this system, and invent others, to satisfy himself with more than his legitimate needs and desires, i.e., his greed, he started disturbing his abode, his peace and his existence.
The man-made, greed-ridden and craftily carved out systems have noticeably failed to serve humanity. Today, man is in dire need of an economic system that will save him, his abode and his very existence from the threat of destruction. Conforming to Rububiyyat- Divine Providence Unlimited – as ordained by Rabb, is the only answer to the most vexed problem of today.
The reality of Rabb’s Rububiyyat discloses itself everywhere in the universe, in every perceivable way, at every moment and at every stage in the ever-continuing process of the purposeful creation of life and the gracefully dispensation of its sustenance, in a manner which only the most perfect mechanism and the most infallible organized system can produce.
Rabubiyyat must be availed of by all, as Rabb has decreed it. Its utilization cannot be left to the fancy of the avaricious and deceitful, and those who style themselves as occupying a privileged position, because, if it was left to their fancy and whims:
“Have they perchance, a share in (God’s) dominion? But (if they had), lo, they would not give to other people as much as (would fill) the groove of a date-stone’. (Holy Quran, Sura 4. 53)
Rabb has assured there can never be anyone below the ‘Rububiyyat level” (subsistence and sustenance level), in a society where “rizq (means of livelihood) is distributed according to Divine Will and Divine Law.
“It is we who distribute their means of livelihood among them, in the life of this world.”
(Holy Quran, Sura 43.32)
Rabubiyyat – Divine Providence Unlimited – is the proclamation of a Universal Order whereby humankind will not be divided into the “rizqfuls” and the “rizqless”, the “haves” and the “have-nots”. The human hand will not stretch before another human being. Humankind will not stand divided between those who have taken possession of ‘rizq’ (means of livelihood) by unjust means, without any qualms of conscience or feeling for fellow human beings, and those who are considered less than human, and have to live differently and make do with whatever is left over or allowed them. Rab is for all, and so also His Rububiyyat, and humankind is one family.
THE PRICE OF RUBUBIYYAT:
Rububiyyat ensures fulfillment of man’s basic needs for food, health, clothing, shelter and education. Rabbis the Master of all that is in the heavens and the earth, and to Him belong the land, water, air, and all the natural and energy resources. These bounties of Rabb have been freely bestowed by Him on all His creation, and all have equal rights to them. Interest (riba), hoarding, profiteering, exploitation, corruption, and all anti-social practices are means of depriving people and their due share of Rububiyyat, and thus become anti-Rabb practices. Depriving a person of his due share of Rabubiyyat is to enslave him economically, socially, politically and morally, which in turn leads to unrest, conflict, revolt and war. Woman has been the worst sufferer of anti-Rabb practices and attitudes. Man has turned the mother of man into a market commodity, a bond-maid, and a means of perverted sex, with disastrous consequences. Does Rabubiyyat have a price? How is it to be paid for? It is in gratitude to Rabb for His Limitless favors, that the price of Rabubiyyat is paid. In the struggle to toil, learn, search, observe, experiment and work hard, one can earn as much as one wants, but only by legitimate means. Can the price of rububiyyat be in offering gratitude to Rab and in depriving a fellow human being of his share of Rabubiyyat, at one and the same time? Let man’s conscience answer this question.
NEED OF GLOBAL MOBILIZATION:
On the occasion of the 9th World General Assembly of the Motamar Al-Alam Al-Islami (World Muslim Congress), the appeal is made to world leaders, and especially the super powers –let them be reminded that there is only One Power, the Supreme Power---that they take heed of the Command of the sustainer of all the Worlds. Rabbul Alameen has ample resources to feed all mouths. Rububiyyat has never run short; it has never failed; it has never been denied by Rabb to anyone. Rabbul alameen commences the provision of sustenance to the human being, from the maternal placenta, even before man is born. A sweet, warm, ready Rubbubiyyat starts flowing from the mother’s breast, as soon as man takes his first breath. Let us mobilize all our global resources, and even those in space, the material, the moral and the spiritual, to usher in a New Era, a New Order, to banish poverty, do away with social inequalities, injustices, class conflicts, and hatreds, fears of each other, slandering and fault-finding. Let us not allow the placental blood circulation and the milk flow of the breast, to be diverted to the shedding of blood and the loss of life in senseless wars for wealth and power. Let us not covert Rabb’s Rububiyyat into thermonuclear arsenals. Let us maintain life on earth, and make it an abode for man’s dignity and honor, progress and prosperity, peace and security as ordained in Rububiyyat!
