Khawaja Hamid Mehmood Baba Yahiya Khan

I am so excited and feel honored to say something when I read, “Kajal Kotha”- the 2nd volume (book) which is the continuity of the widely read and mostly appreciated book one: “Piya Rang Kala”. I earnestly believe that in “Tortoise and Rabbit” like race going on with full zeal and zest, Babajee is on his long much towards bringing another 3rd book of such series.

The powers of intuition, insight and intellect are God Gifted, which has exhibited in Babajee’s ultrasonic observation and deep mystic experience, all prove his grip of sharp memory as a writer to innovatively narrate all those accounts and episodes which at a glance appear to be fiction, but indeed nothing thereof is unreal to my belief. In the state of belief or disbelief, it looks rather hard for someone to believe in metaphysical phenomena. Nevertheless, like an empty utensil, the thoughtless and people of disbelief remain reluctant to believe. Probably they are prey to their malice, ignorance, disbelief, self-centeredness and misconception. It happens so because we are not really what we appear to be. Our level of sincerity varies according to the interest and intention we cherish. Accuracy in writing comes when maturity in thinking gets established. Truth is within us and nothing is of worth other than truth. Such is the matter that makes us realize how the remarkable genius of Babajee Khan tries to instill something into the mind, heart and soul of his reader and make him thereby to deeply observe true eventualities through the telescope and microscope of paranormal and super/para sciences. Perhaps some may negate belief in the very existence of these sciences of the unknown world, simply because it is not known to them. Regretfully we have to say that, due to the unwholesome approach, they are devoid of the virtue to know and believe the truth as perceived by others.

In the world of make-belief, pretension and artificiality, such stuff of Babajee is usually considered not a thing to be digested by the reader of no belief and no interest, but even  then the reader in general, and the seeker and student in particular would continue to get great benefit from the spring of generosity and insight of the blessed writer : Baba Yahiya  Khan who creates such a climate of humor, and suspenseful delight that digestively leads to inculcate into the reader’s mind and brain the thoughtful stuff of healthy bacteria like a good recipe free from side effect in order to set right his/her perception. Babajee seems to make us believe that it is through the wisdom and gnosis of “Ali” and “Baba” that the reader can open the blocked thinking veins of brain and know the tact of intellect as well as the tricks of fate. The reader can also broaden his vision; awaken his benumbed senses and behold the mystic realm of the heart under the spell of the repository skill of Babajee’s pen ship.

No doubt, it is an undeniable fact that as regards the barrier of the language and literature the rules of game and delicacy do matter. The study of language growth reveals to us that words play integral role in the growth and vitality of language. New words enrich language and literature. Contrary to this, the state of inertia arrests the growth of language. It is but natural for someone, at the outset, tends to unwittingly accept any change. As a matter of fact, for the beauty of language one requires correct usage and good selection of words. So it is undesirable and unreasonable to violate the rules and to deflower the language. But in the process of facing reality, when we come to know, we begin to realize that with the passage of time, the state o language changes. The obsolete words lose their value and life, the words begin to adopt new meanings and new words are thus formed and added to the lexical stocks of language. The reader comes to see that the unassuming Babajee by virtue of special blessing very well knows the art of playing with words as fine Puppet Show. So this phenomenon takes place due to the rare diction employed and introduced by a genuine writer like Babajee. It is his virtue as a writer that the words let themselves stoop to dive into the deep ocean of Babajee’s wisdom, and reveal their meaning through the manner of their usage according to the dicta of Babajee as, when and when he desires. While reading, one comes across the dramatizing and sensational effect of discontinuity that happens all of a sudden and surprisingly confuses the reader. Due to the climax of wonder the reader feels at a loss as from where and how to trace the missing linkage and remaining portion/episode. However, this “See Saw” game puzzles the general reader to make him feel it hard to find how to get rid of such dramatic suspense; he thus finds no way out to digest the frequent recourse to citing supernatural occurrences. Despite all this, it is the beauty of Spell-casting style of Babajee’s eloquence which facilitates for the reader to understand the usage of jargons susceptible to give ambiguous sense which is too unpalatable to be easily in taken. But it is the play and display of the sense of good humor which fascinates for the reader to stay with Babajee with all his interest. As regards stuff to meet the curiosity of the reader, he feels satiated and funds no difficulty to get something more useful from every event and eventuality. But more amazing is that Babajee as a writer seems to possess the “Magic Sim” through which he does wonders and wonders by the tactful use of the sensor words; he knows how to trace and locate the archaic words from the caves of Stone Age. The rarely Dialectic Grafting of the unknown and forgotten slangs in the language is so lightly and sweetly penned to the best use thereof that the reader feels no burden, but instead, he also feels at ease to enjoy much pleasure from the essence of colloquialism. Thus the reader rejoices to inhale the fresh oxygen from the memoirs of the breezy, rosy and rhythmic expression of Babajee, the jack of many trades but master of great craft.
