It may appear surprising but it is the fact, that the Quran has treated the problem of the atomic hell that is the atomic bombs and the atomic radiations, characterizing the philosophy of Bacon’s modern atomism, and then giving out the appearance of atomic hell as the logical and scientific consequence of Baconian atomism, characterizing the atomic phenomenon by such characteristics distinguish the atomic phenomenon from the rest of the phenomenon, chemical, electrical or traditional. The author now with two volumes on this topic needs to be at the centers of knowledge anywhere in the world in order to place the case before the judges in lectures etc. and arrange the publication of the volumes. Invitations from societies, a scientific, philosophical and literary will be most welcome. The volumes in question might prove useful to mankind in understanding the reality of the atomic problem and averting the atomic threat. The hypothesis advanced by the Quran fourteen centuries ago has by now been proved in this 33 year’s long experiment of the modern age. The Quran therefore deserves to be heard with respect in this respect. The discovery is my own unknown to the non-Muslims as well as the Muslims. It is a discovery of real worth and scientific interest and will be availed by the mankind unless doomed. The hypothesis of the Quran is as under:-
“Woe to every backbiter defamer, who amasseth wealth (of this world) and arrangeth it (against the future). He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. Nay, for, verily, he will be cast into Al-Hotama. And what Al-Hotama is? It is fire of Allah enkindled which leaps unto the hearts. It is a (fire) closed in on them in outstretched columns". (Quran.104-CIV-Al-Homaza)
Apparently the Quran has given out the worldly philosophy of particularly of Baconian nature as the cause of the appearance of Hotama that the atomic hell. Hotama is a particular hell in the next eternal world, while this atomic hell of this world is the temporal, transient representation of the Hotama of the next eternal world. The causes of the punishment in the fire of Al-Hotama and those of the appearance of atomic hell can be seen to be identical. Dread therefore the consequence that these perishing deservedly in this atomic hell will be found deserving for the eternal atomic hell of the next world. Let us now first see the nuclear science of the formula of the Quran and corroborated characteristics of the nuclear phenomenon.
(I) Nuclear Phenomenon of the Atomic Hell
The Quran says, the atomic phenomenon is Hotama. Hotama means crusher. The atomic phenomena too is a crusher. The atomic energy is generated by crushing the binding of the atomic nucleus. This is the distinguishing characteristic of atomic energy. No other type of energy, chemical, electrical or gravitational energy is generated by crushing anything. And atomic phenomenon is the absolute crusher. It is the nuclei of the atoms that are crushed. This also is the characteristic which distinguishes the atomic phenomenon from every other phenomenon, for in every other case; chemical, electrical or gravitational other nuclei of the atoms remain untouched and intact. And because the disintegrated nucleus of the atom can neither be rearranged in it former order, nor a nucleus can be reenacted by any synthetic method, the atomic phenomenon can be regarded as the absolute crusher. The atomic radiations crush the nucleus of the atom and cause transmutations in the atoms in the case of inanimate matter, while in the living matter they break the chromosomes of the nucleus of the cell. The scientists well aware of this crushing trait of the atomic phenomenon and the standard text books of atomic physics may be seen replete with phrases like, bombarding, smashing, crashing, hitting breaking etc. while describing the atomic actions and reactions. When the Germans coined the term Bremstrahlung (which literally means, breaking radiation) for the continuous spectrum of rays, the term was regarded by the atomists as highly descriptive. In the same manner the standard books of radiobiology can be found to contain terms, similes and sentences like, target theory, direct action, indirect action, snapping the cable with a bullet, breaking the chromosomes, and, radiations hit the cells like sledge hammer and crush them etc. to indicate the crushing trait of atomic radiations. And lastly all the three phenomenal manifestations of the atomic bomb explosion, namely the heat flash, the blast and the radiations are crushers in their respective manners. The Break-up of atomic nucleus in radioactive emission with the release of energy provides a basic example of crushing.
(2) The Quran says: Hotama is fire. And so is the atomic phenomenon, and atomic energy, heat, fire etc.
(3) The Quran says: Hotama is a fire which leaps up to the hearts, or mounts up on the hearts. The characteristics term of the atomic energy, namely, nuclear, for the atomic more properly is the nuclear energy, proves at the first sight, the truth of the view, Hotama is a fire which leaps up onto the hearts. All the actions and reactions from the generation of the atomic energy to the last actions of atomic radiations take place within the nucleus of the atoms, and the scientist himself is found to use the words, nucleus and heart as synonymous. Two examples out of hundreds from the standard text books of atomic physics will suffice:-
(a) “Each fast particle comes from the break-up of very heart of a single atom----the Nucleus------ of the radioactive material". (Vide -Physics, Physical Science Study Committee second edition, D.C. Heath and Company Lexington, Massachusetts, July 1965 Page 360.
And:-
(b) “How many nuclear heart-beats are in the life-time of a radioactive nucleus which lasts only billionth of a second"? (Ibid- Page 21, Short Problems).
The term thermonuclear makes the point clearer still. This term means: the fire which is concerned with the nucleus that is the heart. In the case of the hydrogen bomb, the heat generated by the nuclei of the atoms of the inner fission device being directed onto the nuclei of the atoms of outer fusile material to cause the fusion offers a clear spectacle of the atomic fire leaping up to the nuclei that is the hearts. This characteristic that of having actions and reactions within the nucleus, that is of leaping up on to the hearts of atoms is a characteristic of the atomic phenomenon which is a distinguishing characteristic such as makes it distinct from every other kind of phenomenon, chemical, electrical and gravitational. See how to the point is the Quran. The actions of atomic radiations provide further proofs to the effect. Their actions take place within the nuclei that is the hearts. They affect the coordination of the function where it is beyond the control of the brain. They have a particular attraction for all that which is related to heart in a body as against the brain, the nerves and the muscles. Again all the multi-cellular organisms are more sensitive to radiation than all the unicellular organisms. This may be regarded as due to the more perfected and elaborate circulatory and respiratory systems of the former. The relation of these systems to hear is obvious. And further it is known that the action of radiations is retarded in the absence of oxygen. This may also be attributed to the relation of oxygen which this a gas has with the heart through circulatory and respiratory systems. The following couplet of Wordsworth may also found to be highly suggestive to the fact.
“To let a creed built in the heart of things,
Dissolve before a twinkling atomy (Excursions)”
(4) The Quran says: Hotama is a fire closed in on them. So is the atomic phenomenon and the atomic energy closed in on this mankind now to future generation. The inverted cauldron-like enclosure of the atomic bomb explosion, and the enclosure of the radioactive fallout around it, and further the global enclosure of the fallout of the thermonuclear bomb offers the proof. The failure of this mankind in breaking out of the siege of the atomic energy in helplessness inspite of the knowledge of the ruinous hazards thereof, and ever-strengthening siege of the atomic energy about the entire earth is another proof. Further the tenacity of the bone seeking radiations , and the appearance of cancers from six to thirty years after the actual exposure to radiations, and the appearance of the effects of radiation only in Anaphase though the attack on the cell by the radiation is made in the resting stage of the cell, and the appearance of the effects of radiation in the entire body if one organ of the body only is irradiated, and the survival of the lethally irradiated frogs kept in a dormant state at a low temperature just above freezing point for months instead of dying in the usual time interval of three to six weeks, and the appearance of the symptoms of radiation sickness and their death in the usual time interval in case they are warmed up, and Alexander Haddow’s suggestion that the cancer-producing action of the cancer-producing substances may be the result of their prolonged interference with the normal growth, are the facts which clearly suggest the enclosing feature of atomic radiation. But the most sparkling proof of this fact is provided by the fact of the secret transference of the mutated genes secretly from generation to generation to the manifestation of their existence in some future generation in the form of abnormal births, such abnormalities being inheritable, cumulative and multiplicative. The enclosure of atomic radiations about the earth could be well imagined in future in the full-fledged state of atomic energy for peace, when from the powerhouse to the private car will have its own reactor.
The Quran says: Hotama is fire closed in on them in outstretched columns. The lefty, outstretched column of the atomic bomb explosion is known to every-body. But what generally is not regarded is the fact that the world of atomic radiations is a world of columns. A Cosmic mind of the Einstein type would have picked up my point at once. It is not of such difficulty as to be out of an average physicist’s reach. Just peep into the world of radioactivity and see the atomic particles rising. Measure their smallness against the height of their relative rise. For example, see an alpha particle rising to a height of 4 centimeters. This tin particle has risen to a height of millions of millions of times its own dimensions. Then calculate the height to be assumed by cannon in case this too rose to a height as many million times its own length. It is amusing to observe in the world of radiations all these tiny particles rising to such formidable heights in comparison to their own sizes. They are rising in lofty columns. Just imagine the heights of the columns of the Cosmic rays coming to this earth from the outer space. Wonderful is the sight of the Quran to reveal such minute facts.
Here is the description of the atomic hell as given by the Holy Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) .No better description of the atomic bomb explosion could be expected. The Prophet said:-
“Allah will send angels equipped with covers of fire, and nails of fire, and columns of fire. They will cover the doomed with covers of fire, and will transfix them with nails of fire, and will stretch the columns of fire upward over them. The entire phenomenon will be made so over airtight that not a trace of delight will enter from without, nor a trace of agony will escape from within. Allah will forget them on His throne and will cut them off from His mercy. The inmates of Paradise will be to enjoy the boons of Allah (in paradise). The inmates of hell will cease to cry for help, and speech will come to end. Their speech then will be (as the sound of) inhaling and exhaling.” (Quoted form Al-Jallalain)
The atomic bomb explosion is like a cover of fire in the form of an inverted cauldron. The rays of the radiations are the nails of fire to transfix those doomed. The outstretched columns are the outstretched columns of the atomic bomb explosion. A future world in the time of full-fledged atomic energy may be imagined to present the state of this world akin to that described by the Holy Prophet.
(5) The Quran says: What could teach thee what al-Hotama is? Indeed so complex is the subject of nuclear science that this question maybe directly put to the nuclear scientist: What could teach thee what nuclear science is? The question also is expressive of the inexpressible horrors of the Hotama and so also the atomic hell of this world. This atomic hell being the replica and the representation of the Hotama of the next world.
The cause of the appearance of the atomic hell:
The Quran has given the slander, constant, continuous and systematic accumulation of wealth, and a belief in the eternity of this process of the accumulation of wealth, and of eternity of the monumental works of the world. These exactly are the features of this continuous, systematic, ever increasing and infinite kind of the Baconian, atomismistic progress.
The Quran says: He will verily be cast into Al-Hotama. Indeed the process of atomismistic materialism functioning according to established, inexorable laws is bound to end in the atomic hell. The progress being ever-increasing and infinite, the demands of energy being ever-increasing and infinite, the natural resources of energy exhausting to make mankind dependent on atomic energy despite the hazards and thus fall into the atomic hell of atomic bombs and atomic radiations. Now there remains nothing uncertain between this mankind and the atomic hell except the ignorance of the masses regarding the subject of atomic energy or the optimism of the scientist. But is the preposition of rendering this atomic radiation innocuous anywhere or anyway in sight? Or is it possible to provide the neighboring districts of the leaking and exploding reactors? The Quran says: The fire of Hotama is the fire of Allah. No protection is possible against the fire of Allah. And no protection therefore is possible against the atomic bombs and the atomic radiations. This mankind is hypnotized to blindness, the scientist and the non-scientist alike, by the causes of the appearance of the atomic hell enumerated by the Quran and is being driven in a state of inebriation alas, toward the atomic hell in helplessness and under illusive optimism. The Quran thus comments outright in one stroke. Bacon’s philosophy of greedy atomism and its exclusive worldly progress and distinguish the fire of atomic hell by eradicating its cause.
Now here has been a miracle of a scripture as great if not greater than raising the food from the graves. It is a miracle in the real sense of the word which no nuclear scientist and no philosopher of atomism can find a reason to deny, for the miracle is in the field of nuclear science and philosophy of atomism and ought to be a source of delight for the nuclear scientist and the philosopher of atomism. Which of the nuclear scientist is there to see without wonder and delight and belief in them miraculous aspect of the matter, atomic ephemeron being described by an ancient scripture thirteen centuries in the past in a manner that such characteristics of atomic phenomenon are being described as distinguish the atomic phenomenon from every other type of phenomenon, chemical, electrical and gravitational, and the phenomenon of atomic bomb explosion is being portrayed by its most symbolically distinctive feature that of the lofty, outstretched column exactly like the one whose exquisitely pictured photograph was sent to me by Late Bertrand Russell in his last days of disappoint, and the strangest of all, phonetically and functionally so synonymous a word for the atomic phenomenon as atomic phenomenon is being given .And which of the philosophers of atomism is there not to be lost in a reverie or disbelieve in the miraculous aspect of the matter to see the characteristics of Bacon’s modern philosophy of atomism described thirteen hundred years ago by an ancient scripture in 7th century A.D. at a time when neither a vestige of the ancient Greek atomism anywhere existed, nor were there any signs of the revival of atomism anywhere in any form in any future age in the world. And which of the Platos and Aristotles was then there to see a link between the atomism and the atomic bomb and in for from the features of atomism the appearance of so unlikely and unknown a thing like the atomic fire and the atomic bomb.
